Life without the scale

I have noticed my clothes finally feeling looser again. I feel good. I haven't walked that much this week, but I do plan to walk today. I had a few drinks on Friday night and had to go to the doctor on Saturday morning. It just didn't work out for me to walk because we had somewhere to go midday...

The good thing is the desire was there. I have my desire to exercise and that is awesome.

Eating? Well eating hasn't been that great this weekend, but during the week I know I was doing very well. I have cut out snacks. I didn't even plan to do it really, but began only eating 3 meals a day without snacking. It works. We have been so busy at work that I don't have time to think about food.

I don't know what I weigh yet. I don't want to spoil this feeling I have by seeing a number that I may not be happy with. For now I feel good. I feel like I am doing the right things, most of the time.

I know I will eventually cave in and weigh-in. But I plan to hold out for as long as possible.

That is wonderful. You sound sorted. You sound like the exercise is setting your mind right.

So pleased everything is falling into place.

Woo hoo! You go, girl!

Your recent progress has inspired me to go and look into some of my own problems in trying to get back into the groove. Apparently my estrogen is very low, so she's boosting it with a supplement. She wants me to give it a few weeks to see how it works and if it's not, go up another miligram to see how that goes (because I'm serious, it's very low). She also gave me a sample of Lexi so that if after going to 2mg I'm still kinda blah, I can try that and if it works, then she'll Rx it for me. Very encouraging and I did mention the changes you were already reporting and she said that was all the more reason.

Keep it up! Beautiful picture of you! It really shows off the electricity I've sensed in your most recent posts.

Hi Ms Ralph. I popped in here via Argy's blog and wanted to say hi. Reading about Rundle Street and the Barossa reminded me of all the things I miss about living in Adelaide. It is a lovely place to be.

Well done for walking into the City. Go you! :D

Hope you have a lovely day. Your photo's on the last few posts have been really beautiful too :)

A trip down memory lane

Hello to all of you all of you coming via Michele , thanks for stopping by and I only hope it was worth the trip over. I began reading through the questions on the Slimmer of The Year application today. Of course there are so many things I want to include, but I can't possibly write everything I want to or they will be getting a novel. When I started thinking of how long I have been overweight and the reasons I struggled for so long with food and weight issues a lot of memories came back to me. I've been challanged by my weight for most of my life. Granted some of that time I only thought I was fat when I really wasn't. The point is that I have been fat inside my head for as long as I can remember. One of the most shameful and embarrassing moments was when I was 15 and some of the boys in my class thought it was funny to sing "thunder, thunder, thunder thighs hooooooo!" when they saw me coming to the tune of the cartoon "Thunder Cats." That experie...

Weigh-in March 5th

I weighed in at 68.1, and was amazed to discover that I lost 800 grams this week. I've only got just over 5 kilos left to lose before I reach my goal. Like WOW. I mean wow. I am pinching myself. Can you believe this? A weight loss 2 weeks in a row?!?! I mean jeez, imagine what I could do if I got my butt up off the couch and started exercising. I think I owe it all to the Wendie Plan, which by the way I told all my fellow weight watcher' members about today. I tried to tell them anyway, but I couldn't say a whole lot because our leader likes to hog all the air time. It is weird. I've never felt so shut down in a place where we should all be sharing our ideas with each other. Isn't it a support group, not a one-woman-show? Plus she is boring and only talks about the same thing over and over again. I've heard enough about low GI foods, exercising, how her daughter is a dancer, and how good it is to eat protein for breakfast. I would try out a different ...

Butterflies

As some of you may know I love butterflies. I've always liked them, but the fact that the butterfly was once a caterpillar is the most amazing things about them. Right now I feel like a butterfly that has finally been freed from its cocoon. This weekend I gave away another huge load of clothes that don't fit me anymore and I have several bags just waiting to be dropped off at the donation centre. It feels incredible to put on a pair of jeans that once fit snug and now be able to pull them off without unbuttoning them. I've been lucky over the past week in my search for smaller, fashionable clothes at my local Goodwill and Salvation Army. I've found some really good deals and even have a few designer brands, and all are size Au-10, most have even already been altered for someone as short as me, which is an added bonus. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I think there is no way I fit into a size 10 anything, let alone pants. It is surreal. I have been thinkin...
